I live in Nth East Victoria, and gets quite hot here, so bought this jacket, as my leather one just too damn hot. I found that only using the buttons and not the zipper as well, lets a good air flow around your body. The sleeves look tight, and when I fitted the padding in, I was amazed that you hardly notice it in the arms and shoulder areas. The jacket feel tough and will take a fall, so you have that feeling of confidence whilst riding with this jacket.
I also have the cargo pants, which I just love wearing aswell.

I bought the black denim jacket for a summer riding jacket and have been riding with it for a couple of weeks now.
I like that it is a fairly heavy weight denim jacket that gives you confidence that it will hold together if it needs to. That said the denim and the pekev liner breathes well in a northern NSW summer in temps of over 30 degrees. You still get hot but you can feel the air getting in and the heat getting out. Not like a full on mesh jacket but then the mesh jackets don’t afford the same degree of protection (just check out the Motocap independent testing website – I’m sure we’ll see some Resurgence gear tested on there soon… won’t we).
Definitely go up one size when ordering. I have a 40 inch chest and am 179cm tall, and the Large fits perfectly on my chest and arms but feels a bit loose around the waist ( I wear 34 in jeans). It would be good if it were tailored a bit more but nothing more beer and big Macs won’t fix.
The D3O armour for the elbows and shoulders was a pleasant surprise because I was expecting Knox armour. The D3O is brilliant stuff and good on Resurgence for including it in a jacket of this price.
My one gripe is that I wished the back were a bit longer. It is not a deal breaker because I bought it as a summer jacket and I ride a DR650 at present so have an upright seated position but if you were on a sports bike then your plumber’s crack would be catching the breeze. I do have a longish body so perhaps that is the problem but a dropped back would make this jacket the perfect motorcycle jacket.
All zips, poppers etc are great and the collar doesn’t seem to flap about which is good.
All in all I am happy with it and it looks great, simple and timeless. Looking forward to seeing Resurgence do a updated version with a dropped back and a 100% coverage lining.
